Nothing can stop us from walking for the animals! The Walk of Love, Heartland’s largest summer fundraiser, will have a new twist in 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be holding a virtual Walk of Love this summer in order to keep all of our supporters and volunteers as safe as possible. The Walk of Love and new, live scavenger hunt will be held on Saturday, July 18th (but can be completed earlier too)! Put on your Walk of Love t-shirt, leash up your dog, gather your family and take a walk out in the sunshine. It’s up to you when and how you’d like to walk for the animals! Even though we will be separated, we can still come together by walking to save lives.
Registration is $30 for adults, $15 for children 3-12 years old, and $90 for families of up to four members. Want to earn free admission to the Walk of Love? Just create a fundraising page for us on Facebook or MightyCause and if you raise $100 or more, we will waive the cost of your registration! Email us if you need help setting up a fundraising page for the animals.
Included with your registration is an exclusive Walk of Love t-shirt, a “wag” bag full of surprises, entry into raffles, and access to our online event site. Plus, this year’s Walk of Love will also include an optional scavenger hunt which will take place live on our exciting mobile app where you can interact live with other attendees, share photos and videos, and complete fun challenges, find special items and answer animal-related questions to win prizes!
Don’t wait to register! While all participants will receive a Walk of Love t-shirt, registering before June 28th will guarantee you receive your t-shirt prior to the event date and in your preferred size.
Regardless of how you choose to spend July 18th, you can still help us rescue the cats and dogs who depend on us just by registering for the Walk of Love. Your generous donation will allow us to continue to provide food, housing and medical care to over 1,000 pets in 2020.
Thank you to our 2020 Walk of Love sponsors:
