Welcome to the New Volunteer Orientation Training

New volunteers are required to either attend an in-person orientation, or to watch the online orientation video and take and pass an assessment test at the end.

Important notes:

  • Volunteers who are 16-17 years old must attend the in-person orientation with a parent and cannot complete orientation online.
  • All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application before taking the assessment below.

To complete volunteer orientation online, please watch the video below and then take the assessment that follows. Once you pass the assessment, our volunteer coordinator will email you to set up a time for a shelter tour and schedule you to start volunteering!
