Clear the Shelters is back and it’s a great time to adopt!
WE ARE WAIVING FEES for all ADULT animals rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control, the city‘s chronically overcrowded and underfunded municipal shelter, from August 10 – September 10!
We are doing all adoptions via appointment while we rebuild our shelter following a devastating flood. To meet a particular animal, check out our list of adoptable dogs and cats and then fill out an application. We will do the rest!
Clear the Shelters is also raising funds for Heartland and other shelters via Greater Good Charities. Please help us rebuild after the flood by giving to Greater Good. There will be weekly prize funds for participating shelters and rescues from the Clear the Shelter partners at Hill’s Pet Nutrition.
Now in its 10th year, Clear the Shelters is an annual, nationwide pet adoption campaign led by NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal. Every year, NBCUniversal Local’s NBC and Telemundo owned stations, plus more than a hundred affiliated stations across the nation, partner with animal shelters and rescues in their communities to promote pet adoption and raise needed funds for shelters and rescues.
