Pumpkin, Daisey, & Ollie (fka. Paisley, Tinna, Gunnar)

As a former, and now current, Heartland Volunteer, I wanted to give an update on our family of Heartland Alums! Pumpkin (once Paisley, adopted in 2010), the calico cat, has gotten very vocal as the years have passed. She always lets us know what she wants and when she wants it – and she gets it! Daisey (once Tinna, adopted 2011), the black cat, has really come into her own, although she maintains some of the shyness she had as a younger cat. Very sweet, affectionate, and vocal. Finally Ollie (once Gunnar, smooth-coated collie mix), who we just adopted two months ago is absolutely loving his new quiet home, his large fenced yard, and soft fluffy toys (who knew!) Pumpkin adores him. To those of you who know how timid and shy he is, you’ll be happy to know that he has come a long way and we are working very hard to slowly build his confidence. He is definitely enjoying life!

Finally, thanks to Heartland for all you do and the love and care with which you do it –

Adopt

When you adopt from a no-kill shelter, you save two lives. The animal you adopt and the one that replaces him.
