Hi Heartland…

I would like to send everybody an update on Shadow (formerly Dharma).

You probably wouldn’t recognize her if you saw her so I included a couple of before and after adoption pictures. She was recently groomed and looks like a completely different dog.

I also decided to do a DNA test on her because I was curious about what breed she is. It turns out that she is a full Lab/Husky mix with show dog blood lines on both sides. That was very interesting to find out. I was expecting her to be a mix of many dog breeds. I guess you never know what you’ll find when you adopt.

Shadow is very happy and healthy and is adapting to her new home very well. She loves playing fetch and running around the backyard (Don’t get me wrong – she is also a huge couch potato when she wants to be). She also loves squeaky toys (she carries them around like they are her babies).

So in all I just want to say thank you for helping me find such a great dog!
